The 2018 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S is a used adventure touring motorcycle built for riders who want serious power, road-focused handling, and long-distance comfort in one aggressive package. Designed for Colorado mountain roads, fast highway miles, weekend touring, and backroad exploring, the 1290 Super Adventure S gives riders the performance of a sport bike with the comfort and versatility of an ADV machine.

Power comes from KTM’s 1,301cc LC8 V-twin engine, producing 160 hp and 103 lb-ft of torque. The engine delivers hard-hitting acceleration, strong roll-on power, and plenty of confidence for loaded touring, two-up riding, and fast mountain passes. A 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch keeps the ride controlled, while the chassis feels planted and responsive when the road starts to twist.

The S model is the more street-focused version of KTM’s big Adventure platform, equipped with WP semi-active suspension, cast 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, Motorcycle Stability Control, cornering ABS, traction control, multiple ride modes, Brembo brakes, cruise control, heated grips, LED lighting with cornering lights, and a 6.5-inch TFT display. It is built for riders who want premium adventure touring comfort with real performance behind it.
